A Symbol Of A Free Society - Giclee print
$380
This is the first look at a new body of work scheduled to exhibit spring 2024.
Pairing my native florals with the bolt cutters, an essential tool in the graffiti world, symbolizing freedom to move and access.
A sub culture like graffiti is the canary in the coal mine, the first to feel the squeeze of increased surveilance & authorities overreach.
Street cameras, facial recognition, GPS data from phones/modern vehicles, number plate recognition at tolls, electronic payments are all brought in under the guise of safety and convenience then used as tools to silence dissent. Like the boiling frog the general population doesn't realise until its to late.
